  • Promote and protect the brand in order to maintain a positive reputation of the organization with the public and its stakeholders

MEDIA RELATIONS

  • Develop and execute public relations plans that communicate the needs of the organization's stakeholders

  • Oversees communication with media including interviews, press releases, and press conferences

  • When requested, act as a media spokesperson on behalf of the organization, answering questions and managing complaints

  • Work closely with local business owners to support their needs in the community

  • Focus efforts on initiatives that attract new clients, customers, or businesses

  • Build relationships with regional entities (ex: Chambers of Commerce, Tourism Boards, local nonprofit organizations, civic groups, etc.)

  • Nurture a strong, symbiotic relationship between the organization and the community

  • Municipalities Only: Establish a "City Summit" initiative among nonprofit organizations, civic organizations, business owners, and local government

    • This “gathering of the minds” assists with collaboration, cross-promotion of special events, and a transparent channel of transparent communication
