Have you read our blog a few days ago about some great deals for holiday shopping?  Well guess what?! There’s even more!

“Online shopping is my favorite!”

I started looking for coupons and other means of cashback offers and came across some more great sites.  Some of these you have probably seen on TV, others are just great finds online.  Either way, I have created a list for your easy access to scope out some deals not just for holiday shopping, but for every other day, too!

1. Rakuten (Rakuten.com) offers the season’s hottest toys, links to deals of the week, and a “Hot Deals” area that gives you codes for discounts and/or a percentage of cash back offers. Standout feature: Cash back on stuff you’re already going to buy.

Platforms: On iOS, Android and as a desktop extension on Chrome

2. How frugal are you? BEFRUGAL (http://www.befrugal.com) is a website that allows you to shop through some of your favorite store, earn cash back by shopping and get paid for shopping through their site. They are offering holiday cash back events from Bed, Bath & Beyond to Walmart and everything in between.

3. Honey(www.JoinHoney.com) is a unique coupon app that can be added to Chrome for free. Once you log on, according to the site, you shop like you normally would and Honey starts looking for codes while you shop. If it finds working codes, it will apply the codes with the biggest savings to your cart. There are 30,000+ stores from food to shopping to travel that the search program looks for discounted coupons while you shop. When you’re shopping on Amazon, Honey will tell you if another seller offers the item at a cheaper price.

Platform: Desktop app extension

4. Have you used Ibotta or RetailMeNot? And we’ll get to those next…but here’s one that is very similar to those called Coupon Sherpa(CouponSherpa.com/mobile-coupons) Don’t you just love saying that name…Coupon…Sherpa!! This is a mobile phone app that offers printable coupons, coupon codes, grocery coupons (and we can never have enough of those, right?)

Platform: You can download through Apple App store or Google Play

Best used for: Promo codes for savings

5. GasBuddy (GasBuddy.com) is an app I found ages ago, and I use it constantly! It will search around your local area and find the cheapest gas prices near you. You can star your favorite stations to check their prices first. I even keep track of my favorite gas stations out of my immediate area so I can get gas fwhen I’m traveling. I can track the prices in my favorite areas and stations.

Platforms: available on iOS and Android

6. Coupons.com (coupons.com) is an extremely cool app that can be downloaded to your smartphone, then you can sift through tons of manufacturer’s coupons. Sometimes you will have to print the actual coupon, but most stores will let you use your phone to scan and save it.

Platforms: Available on iOS and Android

7. SnipSnap (SnipSnap.it) This is better than carrying around a file folder full of coupons that are out of date and the minute you go to pull it out of your bag and are a wee bit clumsy and coupons go flying everywhere…well, quite possibly the next thing flying are some not so appropriate words coming out of your mouth! When you’re out and about and find something, you want to buy, take a picture of it with SnipSnap. The app will bring up a list of available coupons and sales for that specific item. The app will even let you know if it’s cheaper to buy it online or at another store.

Platforms: Available on iOS and Android

8. RetailMeNot (RetailMeNot.com) is another great coupon code hub app for making online or in-store purchases. Just type in the store where you plan to shop, and RetailMeNot will list all of its active offers. The incentive for this app is it does great price comparisons and user reviews.

9. Ibotta (Ibotta.com) is a great discount app to have on your smartphone. With this app, all you do is scan the item’s barcode to find out if any rebates are available. You don’t do a thing at the register when you check out, instead, upload a picture of your receipt into the app, and Ibotta will give you cash back. Sometimes Ibottaeven offers you $20 bonuses just for signing up.

10. Did you know there is a website called MyMilitaryBenefits? You can find military and veteran discounts for everyone - service members, veterans, and family members on this site. By clicking on the Discounts tab, it will take you to the featured military discount categories page. From there…start scrolling and you will be amazed at what is offered in the way of honoring our servicemen and women. Discounts in areas of vehicles and auto care, electronics, fitness, outdoor sports, health and wellness, jewelry, flowers, travel discounts, holiday discounts, and the list go on and on. Click on The BIG List of Military Discounts and this breaks down even more categories for available discounts and offers.

11. Capital One Shopping (CapitalOneShopping) is another great app for your smartphone! Shop as you normally would and Capital One Shopping works quietly in the background, searching for discounts on your purchase. Click and the deal discovered will be applied to your cart. This is a free app that you can add to chrome, as well.
